New Year’s Eve Party Ideas: Countdown Ideas For Tots & Party Inspiration

Looking for New Year’s Eve Party ideas that are kid and family friendly? Yes, me too! My husband and I always spend our New Year’s Eve at home with our kids. Even when we didn’t have children we stayed at home, cracked open a bottle of bubbly, munched on some hors d’ oeuvres and watched the countdown.

This year, now that the kids are getting a little older, I wanted to make things fun for them so of course I hit up trusty Google to find some party ideas that were suitable for tots. Now, my kids aren’t old enough to stay up ’till the clock strikes 12, which is why we will be either celebrating another time zones New Year (it’s midnight somewhere, right?) or celebrating a Non Year’s Eve. Who says the countdown has to be at midnight instead of noon?

I have 4 New Year’s resolutions, or life goals as I like to call them, that I will be sticking by in 2012. I want this to be something my girls think about and implement in their lives as well, which is why we’ll be making a list of 3 things the girls want to change, learn, see or do in 2012.

In regards to party ideas, well I left that one to the experts. Here are my top 5 favourite New Year’s Eve Party ideas for kids:
