iPad 2 Cases: The Most Unique Cases On The Market!

Apple’s iPad 2 was a hot seller this holiday season and on many people’s wish lists. If you or your family was one of the lucky ones to receive the sought after tablet, congratulations! There are plenty of fun activities and apps you can download suitable for everyone.

One of the top priorities for new owners of an iPad should be finding the right case to protect your new piece of tech. For those of you who are currently on the lookout for a new case, I’ve put together a list of my favourites.

The BookBook is hands down my favorite case for the iPad and iPad 2. Handmade out of leather, this one-of-a-kind case doubles as a fully adjustable stand. It looks and feels as though you are holding a real book and can be stored on your shelf. Available in black or red, this retails for $69.99 through Twelve South.

The ClamCase is hands down one of the coolest cases we’ve seen. With an attached keyboard, featuring slim scissor keys, the case gives your Ipad a whole new level of funcitonality by turning it into a laptop. There are even 14 special function keys that allow you to copy, paste, control music and more. This case is available for the first generation iPad as well as the iPad 2. The iPad 2 version is available in two: Matte White, Matte Black and the limited edition Trooper.

Price: $149 from ClamCase.

Did your kids get an iPad for the holidays? My girls hog ours (all the time) which is why I opted for the  Defender case. Yes it isn’t the most beautiful case on the market, but it protects your iPad against scratches, drops and bumps. Price: $89.99 from Otterbox

A fun case that looks awfully cute is Speck’s iGuy. This freestanding foam case is available for both iPad and iPad 2. It holds up your iPad and provides protection and a nice squeezable tough thanks to the tough EVA foam which also provides shock absorption.

Speck is currently sold out of this pick, however there are a few still available  for $39.99 through our affiliate Amazon.com.

Griffin’s Crayola Trace & Draw Case for the iPad 2, turns your iPad into an animated drawing and coloring activity center. It protects your tablet and has a heavy-duty kid-tested static peel screen protector that prevents screen smudges and finger prints by surrounding it in a shatter-resistant polycarbonate shell. It even has built-in sliding drawers to store your caryola markers. Your child can create artisitic masterpieces with this neat case/art table.

Price: $39.95 through Apple.com

The DODOCase is made using traditional bookbinding techniques and is made from a black Moroccan cloth and bamboo core. The case can be personalized and monogramed in gold or black foil and it has a magnetic insert that activates the iPad’s auto wake/sleep feature.

The DODOCase is available in 7 different colors and retails for $59.95 through DODOCase.

The Zaggfolio is yet another iPad keyboard combo, however this one is a little different. The folio can be used as a regular case with or without the removable Bluetooth keyboard. It comes in a wide range of colors in polyurethane ($99) or leather ($129.99) through ZAGG.
