M Missoni Launches New Charity Fashion Line To Benefit African Children

Did you miss out on the Missoni for Target line that sold out almost immediately? If you did, take heart, because Missoni is launching a new line with partial proceeds going to charity! Now for the real exciting part…. the collection is affordable!

Angela Missoni’s daughter Margherita Maccapani Missoni (also the model of the collection), has partnered with OrphanAid Africa to launch her first solo line as a designer. The affordable (most expensive piece, the trench coat, is $165!) 12 piece capsule collection will feature Missoni’s trademark zigzag print in a pink, white and red stripe.

“The choice of colors was instinctive; it was the combination that I liked the most,” said Maccapani Missoni. “Pink is symbolic, it refers to childhood, and red to Africa, and together they were aesthetically pleasing. The pattern in itself is something that is ours, that belongs to us. ”

The collection launches on November 10th in Milan and November 15th in New York. On November 16th the items will be available to purchase through M Missoni stores and online through retailer Yoox.
