Inspiring Handmade & DIY Halloween Costumes For Children

Pinocchio Costume ~ For The Good Days

Though I try and try, I am just not a DIY’er in the way that so many others I know are. I like to finish projects quick and don’t have the patience required to complete them properly. This all gets thrown out the window in the Fall. One project I relish in creating are Halloween costumes for my kids.

I love hearing their requests, and scouring the internet for inspiration. Then I set out to local thrift shops for the pieces required, and eventually, they will have their handmade costumes ready for Halloween! In all honestly, I do cheat a bit. I’ve been known to find a like-new Batman mask in a used store, and I jump on this opportunity if it’s there. Let’s face it, we’re all a little short on time!

Below are some inspiring handmade costumes and DIY’s for those willing to give it a try!

These are great! I love creative costumes that aren’t just purchased from the nearest Halloween store. I’m totally pinning some of these. Thanks!
