Review: FashionPlaytes ~ The Online Fashion Design Studio For Girls

Is your daughter creative or artistic? Does she love fashion and dressing up? If you answered yes to even one of those questions you are going to want to check out FashionPlaytes – this online fashion design studio is super cool and fun to use!

How does it work?

After visiting the ‘Design Studio’, girls ages 5-11 can choose a piece of clothing from categories such as Tops, Dresses, Bottoms, Outerwear or Loungewear and completely customize it to her liking. Choose the item, the color and then add your design whether it be rhinestones, appliques, ribbons, buttons or embroidered details. You can even finish off the outfit with your own customized label complete with your child’s name!

My five-year-old daughter and I sat at the computer and were able to mix, match and create several different options before choosing ‘the one’. It was a fun activity for her and I to do together and exciting for her because she was essentially creating her own outfit. In fact, my daughter enjoyed the process so much that we have actually visited the site several times since then to create outfits ‘just for fun’.

We opted for the “The Parker” 3/4 Thermal Baseball T and “The Kristie” 3/4 Sleeve Raglan Dress. Both received the sparkly treatment as you can see. We even created a matching dress for my daughter’s doll!

Kids can create numerous designs and save them to your account or add them to a wish list which you can reference to at a later date should you find yourself stuck for gift ideas. Speaking of gift ideas, gift certificates from FashionPlaytes make a very unique and affordable choice. The clothing is very age appropriate and there is something for everyone regardless of whether the girl likes sporty or feminine styles.

*Thank you to FashionPlaytes for providing us with full access to their design studio in order to facilitate this review!*
