Review: Milkin’ Cookies ~ Healthy & Delicious Nursing Snacks

Just before giving birth to my son, I received a package from Milkin’ Cookies, a company that makes healthy and nutritious cookies filled with ingredients that help increase breast milk production.

Because I ate them for the first 3 days (just before my milk came in) I was unable to tell whether or not they did in fact increase production, but they were a fabulous snack solution. I snacked on the cookies after my labor and for the first couple of days. Because of the ingredients, these were the only snack that actually filled me up when I was ravenous.

Unlike regular store-bought cookies (that are filled with empty calories) Milkin’ Cookies are not overloaded with sugar and the main ingredients – whole wheat flour, flaxseed, wheat germ and oats are actually food galactogogues — ingredients that can help increase breast milk production. There are no artificial ingredients, preservatives, herbs or medicines in these treats – they are all natural.

Because each cookie is individually wrapped, they make a great ‘on the go’ snack solution for hungry moms (and kids). I had to hide my last two so that my girls didn’t devour them.

Milkin’ Cookies are available in two flavors: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Almond Oatmeal (my fav). You can order a 14 or 30 day supply at a time, or opt for the 3 month subscription (30 cookies per month for 3 months).
