The Best Lunch Bags & Boxes For Kids Heading Back-To-School

I can’t believe it’s mid-August already! Back-to-school is literally just around the corner and the stores are getting busy with parents filling their carts with school supplies. Backpacks, lunch bags and new clothes are on the lengthy lists of most parents having many scratching their heads as to which is the best to purchase.

Having tested several lunch bags over the course of the year, I wanted to put together a list of my Top 5 favorites. Whether you are looking for something eco-friendly, chic or just super cool, there is something here for everyone.

The super cool Laptop Lunch Bento Sets are my all-time favorites. Each box contains 5 removable food containers and a set of stainless steel utensils. Veggies and dip, soups, sandwiches, snacks, sushi, regardless of what you are looking to pack for your child, these sets can easily accommodate any meal.

Each box comes with a matching  insulated carrier complete with handle and shoulder strap for easy toting. We loved these so much we ended up purchasing another after receiving the first. The handy recipe book is also great as it provides you with a ton of unique and original lunch ideas.

The sets come in a wide range of colors and retail between $27.99 and $44.99 through Amazon.com.

California Innovations has designed the Kids Lunch Bag Plus with high density thermal insulation and an extra food container that fits in the bottom compartment.

The great thing about this bag is it’s versatility. If you are packing a regular sized lunch you simply fold down the flap, but for larger meals, the zippered closure offers 35% more room. The bag is PVC free, lead safe and comes with a padded handle with attached Swing Clip.

What I love about the So Young lunch boxes, is how modern and chic they look. Made from a coated linen, each bag displays a retro-inspired design on the top and comes full insulated. The interior and exterior can be wiped clean and are PVC-free, phthalate-free and lead safe. You’ll also appreciate the detachable long strap that comes with this bag as it allows you to wear the sack as a messenger bag or backpack. Alternatively you can remove the strap and just tote the bag with the adjustable carrying handle.

They are machine washable and hold up extremely well. The cute designs are an added bonus too ;).
