A Dress That Is Literally Made From Children’s Storybooks & Fairytales

Talk about Jaw-dropping! Ryan Novelline has made a dress out of the pages of fairytales (literally) with his incredible Golden Book Gown. Made up entirely of children’s Golden Books, this couture dress has had heads turning and tongues wagging ever since it made its debut. Even Tommy Hilfiger was impressed!

According to Ryan’s website:

The skirt is comprised entirely of the illustrations from the books sewn together with metallic gold thread, and the bodice is made from the books’ foil spines.

Both the bodice and skirt have tape backing for reinforcement.

After sorting book pages according to the color spectrum, Ryan draped the bodice in muslin and began sewing color page strips with golden thread according to their colour scheme, forming 22,000 square inches of skirt! You can view the entire design process here.

Talk about an original design! What do you think of the Golden Dress?
