Adventure Playsets Recalls Their Wooden Play Sets Due To Fall Hazards

Adventure Playsets has recalled 4 of their outdoor wooden play sets with swings, slides and ladders due to issues of the wood in the posts of the fort sections on the swing sets weakening due to rotting, thus posing a fall hazard.

Each set has a fort structure that uses green or cranberry coloured plastic coated 2″x 4″ wood upright posts and a green nylon fabric covered shade. The instruction manual has the name “Adventure Playsets”, with the model numbers printed on the cover. The recalled products were sold from 2004 to 2007 in Canada by Wal-Mart and potentially other retailers.

The following sets are affected :

Swing Set Name Model No Years
Tacoma or
Tacoma II
1-AP017 2005
Durango or
Durango II
1-AP016 2005
Sedona 1-AP002 2004
Yukon 1-AP052-07 2007

So far, only one report of a fall was issued in the United States. Neither Adventure Playsets nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injures to Canadians related to the use of these products.
