JetBlue & PBS Kids Launch In-Flight Literacy Program For Traveling Kids

A couple of days ago JetBlue Airways and PBS Kids launched their new joint project to keep kids reading wherever they go this summer. Through their partnership with First Book, (a non profit organization providing new books to kids in need), the companies will provide a combination of in-flight and online literacy resources and community reading events.

By visiting SoarwithReading.com, parents can download a free reading activity kit, create a summer reading list with recommendations from Random House Children’s Books and log their children’s reading minutes, among other activities. The really cool feature – for every reader who registers on SWR,  JetBlue will make a book donation to a child through First Book, up to 10,000 books!!

Kids who are flying with JetBlue this summer will receive a free activity kit with reading games based on PBS KIDS educational programming.

What an awesome initiative!
