Britax Announces Safety Recall On The B-NIMBLE Stroller

Britax today announced a voluntary safety recall of the B-NIMBLE® stroller. Although no injuries have been reported, Britax has found that an audible click can be heard when the brake pedal is pressed, giving a false impression that the brake is full engaged when in fact it is not. If the brake is not engaged, the stroller can move unexpectedly posing a risk of injury to the child occupant.

Model #s U311771, U311773, U311775 and U311780 manufactured on or after August 1, 2010 are included in this recall.

If you previously purchased one of the models mentioned above, Britax will send you a FREE replacement B-NIMBLE stroller with a modified brake assembly. Please be sure to confirm whether or not your B-NIMBLE is affected by verifying the model number.

In order to receive a free replacement B-NIMBLE stroller, consumers owning an affected B-NIMBLE stroller must first call the BRITAX Customer Service Department at 1-800-683-2045. Those who have yet to register their stroller or need to verify existing registration should contact the BRITAX information line, toll free at 1-800-683-2045.
