Alber Elbaz has unveiled his first collection for kids – Lanvin Petite. Inspired by Jeanne Lanvin and infused with her timeless modernity and infinite love for her daughter Marguerite.
The capsule collection consists of twenty-five precious pieces, created for young girls from ages four to ten and will officially launch for November 2011.
As always in Lanvin collections, the dresses are the pieces which shine. Made from luxurious materials such as washed organza embroidered with crystals, draped or pleated tulle, satin ribbon and grosgrain, the pieces offer a cheeky and delightful take on mommy’s dresses. Other highlights include an elegant but understated silk taffeta trench coat with beaded sleeves, a black skirt that wraps unruly frills around petite waists and an off-white ecru coat-dress.
Accessories consist of necklaces of beads, tulle, rhinestones and metal, while the the mini Lanvin ballerinas come in a patent, satin-finished material and are crowned with a little pompom made out of tulle.
The ultimate must-have to accompany these luxurious fashions – four exclusive rag dolls dressed in the collection. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the charity Designing Hope.
No word yet on the pricing, although I’m sure it won’t be in the budget range. Check out the slide show below and let me know what you think!
