Holly Robinson Peete Receives The “Resident Mom” Award From Marriott
Last week, Residence Inn by Marriott kept the focus on family while honoring the amazing actress, author and philanthropist Holly Robinson Peete.
The hotel chain presented Holly with the “Resident Mom” award and made a donation to her charity at an event held at the Residence Inn New York Manhattan/Times Square. The brand felt that Holly deserved the award due to her devotion to her family while maintaining a successful career and contributions as a wife, mother and working woman.
“Holly Robinson Peete is an inspiration, balancing her family and work while also making a huge difference in the lives of families living with Autism and Parkinson’s disease,” said Christina Taylor, Senior Director, Residence Inn by Marriott. “She juggles a television career, runs an incredible charity that helps so many people, and is a wife and great mom to her four children. We could not think of a better mom to honor with this first ‘Resident Mom’ award.”
As you may already be aware, Holly co-hosts the CBS daytime talk show The Talk and is the founder of the HollyRod Foundation with her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete. The foundation was inspired by Holly’s father’s battle with Parkinson’s disease and her own son’s diagnosis with autism. The Holly Rod Foundation supports families affected by these conditions.
The “Resident Mom” award is just a continuation of Residence Inn’s celebration of moms. Earlier this month, 50,000 red roses were given out on Mother’s Day at almost 600 Resident Inn properties throughout the United States. The brand caters to the needs of families and busy moms offering free hot breakfast, spacious suites, free internet and swimming pools – all at reasonable rates.
