Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity Sending Teddy Bear To Space

UK-based Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, who provide support for families that have a child with a life-threatening illness, have a clever fundraising opportunity for schools across the country to participate in – sending a Teddy Bear into space!

A Teddy Bear has been sent up to space successfully in the past using string, helium, a parachute, a camera, silver foil and sticky back plastic, and Rainbow Trust is planning to replicate this on July 15th.

To get your school involved you simply have to raise £50 by May 27th and give Teddy a name, then submit this to Rainbow Trust. The winning school will have the opportunity to take part in the whole process, from learning the details about Teddy’s journey up to space, to a lucky 15 children attending the “launch” of the bear.

For those interested in the UK please contact alexa.follen@rainbowtrust.org.uk. or call 01372 363 438 for details on how to enter, or visit Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity to learn more.
