Ducduc Recalls Fixed Side Baby Cribs Due To Fall And Entrapment Hazards

Yesterday the CPSC and ducduc issued a voluntary recall of around 330 of their fixed side cribs due to fall and entrapment hazards. The bottom rails on the crib sides can separate from the sides when the mattress is set at the lowest position. This causes the spindles to separate and the mattress to drop, posing risks to young children. So far, ducduc has already received five reports of separated rails although no injuries were reported.

All of the cribs pictured above are included in the recall and were sold at the ducduc New York showroom, online at www.ducducnyc.com, at specialty stores and through interior designers nationwide from January 2009 through February 2011 for between $1,500 and $1,800.
