The Coolest Kids’ Bedroom We’ve Ever Seen By Kuhl Design Build

by Nadia Carriere on April 26, 2011

How incredible is this bedroom? Talk about the stuff dreams are made of! After going over considerations for race car, space ship and castle concepts, Steve Kuhl the genius behind Kuhl Design Build, built this pirate themed bedroom for the client’s 6-year-old.

The exterior of the hull was made using 2 x 12 ribs covered with layers of 1/2 inch plywood to act as planting. In order to simulate the look of an old ship’s hull, the finish was developed using a blend of plaster, epoxy and coloring.

This jail cell is built to accommodate little sisters, er, I mean thieves and evil doers.

The Crow’s Nest is a separate bedroom where guests can stay during sleepovers.

Brilliantly, this rope leads down into a closet. Kids can get an upper body workout every morning while climbing up the rope after getting dressed.

Just incredible! I wonder how much a bedroom like this runs for……
