I’m so excited about this partnership! National Geographic and Pottery Barn Kids, today announced that they have teamed up to create a brand new program featuring merchandise, activities and educational content that will excite and inspire the entire family. Launching April 21st, exclusively through Pottery Barn Kids (online, in-store and catalog), the program will draw on National Geographic’s infamous expertise in the fields of nature, wildlife, science and exploration. Pottery Barn Kids will also offer an exclusive collection of National Geographic – inspired products with their net proceeds going to support ocean exploration, conversation, research and educational programs.

The president of Pottery Barn Kids commented on the partnership saying:

“Like so many today, I grew up with National Geographic, and it is a true honor to be partnering with one of the world’s largest scientific and educational organizations,” said Janet Hayes, president, Pottery Barn Kids. “This is the first time Pottery Barn Kids has partnered with an organization like National Geographic, and we are excited to utilize all of the wonderful resources and opportunities they have to educate kids and their parents about our planet.”

There will definitely be some wonderful opportunities coming up! For those who love a bit of adventure, the program will include a sweepstakes for a 10-day National Geographic Expeditions family trip for four to the Galápagos Islands aboard the National Geographic Endeavour, provided by National Geographic Expeditions and Pottery Barn Kids. You can find more information, the rules and entry form, here.

Designed for children ages three and up, complimentary events such as National Geographic “Little Explorers Club,” will bring the science museum experience to all Pottery Barn Kids stores across the United States and Canada with hands-on activities, quizzes, songs and more.
