Disney Cruise Line Announces Surprises For 2012! Hawaiian Cruises, New York Departures & More!

Disney Cruise Line made a very exciting announcement today! For the first time ever, Mickey will be sailing from three new ports in 2012 – New York, Seattle and Galveston, Texas. This is amazing news as it will make cruising with Disney even more accessible to people across the United States and Canada!

New York Port Itineraries

Starting May 25, 2012, the Disney Magic will be sailing a total of 20 cruises from New York including a five night cruise up the New England coast of Canada, two night sample cruises to the Bahamas and eight night cruises to the Bahamas.

The eight Bahamian cruises will not only allow guests to enjoy Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay and Nassau, Bahamas, it will also include a stop at Port Canaveral, Florida so families and guests will be able to visit the nearby Walt Disney World Resort if they so choose. Even more exciting? As part of the 8 night itinerary, every guest will be GIVEN a one-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket as well as roundtrip transportation to and from the Disney ship and Walt Disney World. Amazing!

Rates for the new eight-night Bahamian cruise will start at USD$1,240 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

New England

Fancy a visit to Canada? Leaving from New York, the nine five-night cruises up the New England coast will hit ports of call such as Saint John, New Brunswick, Halifax and Nova Scotia allowing guests to experience and explore gorgeous scenery, charming shops and historic sites.

Rates will start at USD$715 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

The two night cruises out of New York will be available on three different dates (June 15, July 13 and Aug. 10) and are perfect for families looking for a quick getaway over a weekend. Rates will start at USD$370 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Galveston, Texas Port Itineraries

On September 22, 2012, the Disney Magic will begin to set sail on 12 seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean, departing out of the Port of Galveston. PBeginning Sept. 22, 2012, the Disney Magic will sail 12 seven-night cruises from the Port of Galveston to the Western Caribbean. Ports of call include Grand Cayman and Mexico’s Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Rates for the seven-night Western Caribbean cruise itinerary departing from Galveston start at USD$840 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy. The last sailing out of Galveston will take place in December 2012.

2012 Seattle Schedule

From May 28, 2012 to August 2012, the Disney Wonder will embark upon a total of 14 seven-night cruises from the Port of Seattle, visiting Alaskan ports -Tracy Arm,  Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, Alaska, as well as Victoria, British Columbia.

Rates for the seven-night Alaska cruise itinerary departing from Seattle start at USD$917 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Los Angeles & Itineraries And A Big Surprise – Hawaii!!

The Disney Wonder will continue sailing their infamous seven-night Mexican Riviera cruises from the Port of Los Angeles for the majority of the year, however they will also be sailing four sevent night Pacific Coast cruises on Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct.7), visiting San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.

Rates for the seven-night Mexican Riviera itinerary departing from Los Angeles start at USD$707 per person and the new seven-night Pacific Coast itinerary departing from Los Angeles start at USD$770 per person. Both prices are for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

And now, for the most exciting news of all!! For the first time ever, the Disney Wonder will be offering a special 15-night voyage to Hawaii from Los Angeles, calling on Hilo; Kahului, Maui; Honolulu, Oahu; Nawiliwili, Kauai and Ensenada, Mexico. The 15-night Hawaiian cruise will depart April 29, 2012 and prices will start at USD$1,800 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Port Canaveral Itineraries

The upcoming Disney Fantasy and beautiful Disney Dream will continue sailing a variety of different Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries departing out of Port Canaveral, Florida. You can view all of the itineraries for these two ships here.
