Fore!! Axel & Hudson Brings Retro Style For Spring/Summer 2011

As a mother of only boys, I generally tend to overlook fashion for tots. The options are simply limited out there, so something has to really stand out for it to catch my eye – and superhero laden clothing generally does not fit this bill.

There are some designers out there that seem to have parents like us in mind, and Fore!! Axel & Hudson is one of them. The company is run by designer, dad of two, and lover of golf Paul Nguyen. Nguyen has put together an adorable collection of boys clothing, and the Spring/Summer 2011 line brings with it funky patterns and stand-out colours, I can honestly say that there is not one piece I don’t love. It doesn’t hurt that the brand uses eco-friendly materials such as bamboo in their products.

I find that the line ranges from retro with a modern spin, to straight up vintage in some of the pieces. The baby onesies stick out from the crowd, but at the same time are subdued. You could pair them with some khakis or jeans to keep things simple, or easily match them with a pair of plaid shorts. So cute.

I absolutely love the mix of prints together, with a hat to top it off as is shown in many of the pictures from the collection. Being a kid is fun, and clothing should be playful and exciting to match that.

I am a hardcore fan of this brand and seeing their bright colors and cheerful prints always puts a smile on my face. The softness of their tees and polo shirts is legendary!
