Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea Have Officially Closed Until Further Notice

Due to the horrible earthquake and Tsunami disaster that took place in Japan last week, Disney’s Disneyland Resort in Tokyo and Tokyo DisneySea have closed temporarily.

In an official statement released last week, Disney explained:

“Due to the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake that occured on March 11, 2011, Tokyo Disney Resort is currently closed. As soon as a decision is made on when the operations will resume, it will be announced on the Tokyo Disney Resort official website. We regret the inconvenience that this may cause and request your patience and understanding.”

“Our top priority is the well-being of our employees and their families during this challenging time and we will continue to closely monitor the situation as it develops.”

Our thoughts, prayers and well wishes go out to all of the residents in Japan during this horrific time.
