Baby Phat Toddler Jeans Recalled Due To Choking Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Parigi Group have announced a recall today for about 1,600 Baby Phat Girls’ Jeans for Toddlers, due to the possibility of decorative rhinestones and sequins coming loose on the jeans’ pockets, posing a choking hazard to young children.
So far no injuries have been reported, however if you own these jeans, it is recommended that you return them to the retail store where purchased to receive a full refund.
This recall involves “Baby Phat” branded jeans for toddlers in sizes 2T to 4T. Style number BM02545 can be found on a label sewn in the rear waistband. The rear pockets have colored rhinestones and sequins attached and the right rear pocket has an appliqué of a cat below the sequins.
The jeans were sold from May 2010 to June 2010 for around $13 in various specialty and online stores including Amazon.com. For more info contact Parigi Group collect at (212) 378-1205 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s website at www.parigigroup.com
