Luck of the Irish, March 17
On St. Patrick’s Day feel the luck of the Irish on the slopes of Big White. Guests can catch the leprechaun skiing on Big White’s Plaza chair with his gold candy coins and sporting his green digs before they head down to Happy Valley for green beverages, Irish jigs and some great prizes. The Rugged Riders ‘Kinky Rail Jam’ series stops at Big White for a weekend-long snowboarding bonanza run by females for females! Designed for all ages and all abilities, girls are invited to get comfortable in the private rail park (no boys allowed!). From the ‘never-slid-a-box’ to the ‘rippin-up-the-XL-rails’, ride with your girlfriends and make new ones during Saturday’s clinic while girls will learn new tricks and get rugged with certified female coaches. From March 25-27, Big White is proud to host and celebrate the fourteenth year of the Neil Edgeworth Memorial Banked Slalom Event. Last year, Big White hosted a record number of riders. Loose Moose Cafe at the Happy Valley Day Lodge will be hosting a huge annual celebration party at the Saturday night following the dinner banquet.
