Ralph Lauren Presents Spring Summer 2011 Kids Fashion Collection & The RL Gang Narrated By Uma Thurman
Ralph Lauren unveiled their kids fashion line for Spring 2011 today, along with a few surprises. Last year, they debuted the RL Gang with their Fall/Winter 2010 collection, an incredibly unique virtual storybook and we were overly impressed with the artwork and visuals.
This year, for Spring/Summer 2011, Ralph Lauren has taken it up a few notches. The RL Gang: A Magically Magnificent School Adventure showcases Ralph Lauren Childrenswear Spring 2011 and the new RL Gang. The video is narrated by award-winning actress and mother Uma Thurman in support of Room to Grow (a non for profit offering parenting support and essential baby items for babies born in to poverty). Following the charismatic children of the RL Gang and their adventures at school, the RL Gang is introduced to Elle, a new student who just moved to town, and are encouraged to use their imagination through a magical art project crafted by non-other than their mysterious teacher, Professor Randolph Lattimer, all while learning to welcome new friends! While showcasing 17 new looks from the Spring collection, the new storybook the individual sense of style and personality of each character. Now, let’s talk about the fashion! For Spring 2011, Ralph Lauren Childrenswear has presented classical favorites suitable for school days, weekends and special occasions. Girls are treated to a wide range of fashionable dresses such as ruffled seersucker and rugby dresses, plaid and country floral. Paired with distressed denim and hand-crocheted sweaters offer a casual/chic look Ralph Lauren is known for.
Boys take on a preppy, sporty sensibility with button-down shirts and casual crewnecks in colorful stripes, ultrasoft tees, polos, hoodies, chinos and plaid shorts all in beautifully saturated colors.

They will be donating 15% of all proceeds from the first month of sales of the Childrenswear Spring 2011 collection on RalphLauren.com to Room to Grow—a charitable organization chosen by Uma Thurman.
Room to Grow is an innovative program which provides parents raising babies in poverty with one-on-one parenting support and essential baby items throughout their children’s critical first three years of development.
