YMCA Of The Rockies Offers Summer Camp Opportunities For Kids, Teens, Families & The Young At Heart
Camp Chief Ouray is a summer wonderland of fun located just outside of Winter Park in Colorado. Children can choose from a wide range of activities such as ropes courses, arts and crafts, canoeing, swimming, archery, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and much more.
- Traditional summer camp for kids (ages 8-15) with additional options for shorter stays (mini camps) and tougher challenges for older campers (challenger program). Traditional camps typically last a week.
Wilderness adventure camp for teens, Sherpa and Trekker options, which last longer than traditional camp and can include backcountry backpacking and surfing trips.
- Family camp, scheduled over Labor Day weekend, gives the whole family a chance to learn, play, and grow together.
- Women’s fitness camp combines traditional camp activities like archery and tai chi with lessons on balanced nutrition and enjoying a healthy lifestyle.
- Active older adults’ camp for campers 50 years young looking for a bit of summer adventure.
