Kids Fashion Preview: ELLE Children’s Spring Summer 2011 Collection

ELLE has released their children’s Spring Summer 2011 collection, reinterpreting current trends and playing on stripes and soft colors.

First we have ‘Croisette’, named after the the Croisette Avenue in Cannes. With cruising influences, the sailor’s stripe never looked so trendy, livening up the lining in fleece jackets and displayed on small knitted dresses. Navy blue is peppered up by tonic red and sky blue shades.

Japanese influences can be found as well with cherry blossoms sketched on mottled cotton fabric, fluid and light fabrics in Camellia pink and pastel colors among the palette of black and grey.

Happy days is the core of the summer theme. You can find mixes of prints and polka dots amongst flouncy garments. Graphics like a small liberty print or showers of dots can be found on long dresses and tops. In terms of colors, acid pinks and turquoise shades add a nice sparkle!

Love it as much as we do? Childrensalon (our affiliate) has most of the collection listed on their online shop.

A mom to two girls and a baby boy, a writer and the publisher of Child Mode. As a lover of style and fashion, Nadia found her ‘niche’ and love of children’s clothing while searching for quality items for her family.
