RECALL: Infantino Sea Pals Water Teethers Due To Bacteria Hazard

Two days ago, Health Canada recalled Infantino’s SeaPals Water Teethers sold by Winners, due to a bacteria hazard. Health Canada requires that all infant teethers be free from any living micro-organisms and after testing the lSea Pals, found that they may be contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia tropica. Although these bacterias generally do not cause illness, they may cause infection in children with weakened immune systems, if the teether becomes punctured.

The recall affects Sea Pals Teethers which are packaged in a box containing a lobster-shaped teether and a fish-shaped teether with a yellow body and a liquid-filled blue tail. The Sea Pals Water Teethers can be identified by style number 153-3063 and UPC 773554030631.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product. For more information, consumers may visit Infantino’s website, contact Infantino at 1-888-808-3111 or by e-mail at recall@infantino.com.
