Balloon Lamps Designed In Japan: Energy Saving, Illuminating Light Bubbles

Kouichi Okamoto in Japan has invented a really interesting lighting concept – The Balloon Lamp.

Made with rubber, polypropylene, LED lighting and a lithium-coin battery – each balloon offers high illumination and a long lifetime. Because of the LED, they are energy efficient and can be used continuously over 100 hours by using the 2 lithium batteries.

Can you imagine decorating the ceiling of your bedroom with these? I would be intrigued to see how that would turn out! These would look phenomenal used as lighting for an outdoor wedding!
