Big White Ski Resort In Kelowna Offers Family Fun On A Grand Scale!

The largest fully ski-in/ski-out resort in Canada is offering family fun on a grand scale this season! Located just outside Kelowna, BC, Big White is home to mountains of kid-friendly diversions, sure to keep even the toughest customers entertained. The off-slope action begins at Big White’s Happy Valley Adventure Park, with ice skating on two illuminated outdoor ponds, tubing at the Mega Snowcoaster Tube Park, Mini-Snowmobile rides and the latest adrenalin rush, the new Ice Climbing Tower (geared towards all levels).

Big White’s 1,147 hectares (2,765 acres) of terrain, is chock full of glades, groomed runs, bowls and bumps, beckons. As a new feature this season, three runs will be selected each day and designated as Family/Seniors Skiing and Snowboarding Zones; each will have signage, gated entries and extra slope watchers to monitor speeds and ensure safe skiing and riding.

From January 26-31, 2011, Big White and neighboring Kelowna, will host the very first International Children’s Games to be held outside of Europe, January 26 – 31, 2011. The games will attract over 1,000 athletes ages 12 to 15 for fun and friendly competition in skiing, ice skating, curling and, for the first time, ice hockey and speed skating!
