SkyWest Airlines Flies Families The North Pole For A Magical Adventure!
Talk about having the holiday spirit!
SkyWest Airlines is one company that puts the term “Holiday Spirit” into perspective. Tomorrow evening (December 11), SkyWest Airlines, will be flying more than 50 local children and their families aboard the annual Fantasy Flight to the “North Pole”. This is the fourth year the airline have brought this incredibly heartwarming tradition to Colorado Springs children for the Junior League of Colorado Springs (JLCS), a non-profit organization of women, committed to improving the community and developing the potential of women, and Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD). Children enrolled in CPCD programs live below the poverty level, have an identified special need, or have a home situation that puts them at risk for school failure.
The day will begin with SkyWest transporting the children on a 30-minute flight onboard the Bombardier-manufactured Canadair Regional Jet 700 (CRJ700) from the Colorado Springs Airport to the “North Pole” (COS Gate 11). There, the precious passengers will be greeted by Santa Claus himself!
The night will also include dinner for the children and their families as well as appearances from local Olympians, face painting, pictures with Santa and more. Special holiday memories will be created for children whose families struggle to meet their basic needs.
What a wonderful idea! I wish more airlines would take note!
