‘Spider-Man The Musical’ Hits Broadway And 60 Minutes Gives A Sneak Peak!

What has been labeled as one of the “most daring and most expensive broadway shows ever” has become a reality  with then new Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

Tony award-winner, Julie Taymor is the director of this incredible show, that is supposed to be just as thrilling if more so than the movie. The set looks spectacular – as it should considering $10 million was spent to make it look just like the comics and that doesn’t even include the additional millions that were spent on special effects and flying. The entire show costs over $1 million a week in operating costs alone!

The music by U2’s Bono and The Edge, is different from what they have done in the past – more theatrical and daring.

60 Minutes provided a preview this evening, giving a behind the scenes look at the entire project. Check out the video below and let us know what you think. I don’t think the show would be suitable for little ones, but I can definitely see the pre-teen and teenage Spider-Man fan getting pretty excited over it!

Excited? You can purchase tickets for the show and find more information here.
