Our Favorite Cranberry Sauce Recipe (With a Twist)

I’ve tried quite a few different cranberry sauce recipes, but have always come back to this classic. I find plain cranberry sauce is quite boring, which is why I love the orange addition in this one. The recipe actually came off the back of a cranberry bag, but I’ve seen it around the web – most recently Allrecipes.com.

My girls love this on the side and as a topping on their tapioca or rice pudding. Yum!

  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup raw or white sugar (don’t use brown sugar as it adds a funny taste)
  • 1 cup orange juice

Combine all ingredients over medium heat and stir periodically, until the cranberries start to pop. Remove from heat and transfer into a serving dish. Keep in mind that the sauce will thicken as it cools!
