Disneyland Resort Puts On Its Holiday Finest

It doesn’t matter what holiday rolls around, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks make the season brighter with classic Disney magic and some fun and exciting surprises.

From November 12 through January 2, 2011, guests will be able to enjoy some of Disney’s popular offerings as well as new holiday versions of “it’s a small world” and Haunted Mansion, along with “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, colorful holiday décor and a nightly snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A.

Some of the other holiday highlights at Disneyland will include the beautiful snowdrifts and icicles adorning Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, the 60-foot-tall Disneyland Christmas tree (lit up using 62,000 energy-efficient LED lights), and several parades and presentations.

The Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle presentation includes three acts, each of them featuring a touch of winter snow on Main Street, U.S.A. During the finale, guests will be able to enjoy the legendary “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks show, which takes guests on a journey of sights and sounds of the season and then a touching rendition of “White Christmas,” along with a climactic snowfall swirling down on Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world” Mall and New Orleans Square.

One of the holiday traditions Disneyland is known for is the “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, in which Disney characters join together to celebrate the magic of the season. Guests can watch as Disney characters wrap gifts, bake holiday treats and prepare for the arrival of Santa Claus, who shouts a jolly greeting to spectators along the parade route. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse even take to the ice for some skating fun.

Disney California Adventure park will offer

  • “a bug’s land” transformed as Flik and his bug buddies spread giant Christmas lights and oversized ornaments throughout their realm.
  • Paradise Bay boardwalk will be lit up with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and lampposts decorated with seasonal wreaths.
  • Santa Claus will greet guests on the boardwalk near Ariel’s Grotto on Paradise Pier.

Makes me want to take a trip to Disneyland yet again! We had a wonderful trip in October where we experienced the incredible World of Color and took part in the Halloween festivities.
