Pink Lining Puts The Pretty Back Into Diaper Bags

While making my way through the exhibitors at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas last month, I saw my fare share of diaper bags. Literally hundreds! Daddy bags, mommy bags, luxe bags, not-so-luxe bags, all-in-ones, you name it. In fact, I didn’t realized how many diaper bag companies there were until roaming the convention center. Now, don’t get me wrong there were some fab companies there, but the highlight of them all and the only one really shined through for me, was British company Pink Lining.

Founded by husband and wife team; Charlotte and Rufus Pearl in 2001, Pink Lining is unlike any other diaper company thanks to their unique designs. As a mother of 3 children under 6 years old, Charlotte couldn’t find a bag that gave her the look, style and practicality that she needed, so she decided to design her own “parcels of portable sunshine”. There is so much thought that goes into these bags. From the hot pink lining to the charming prints, Pink Lining gives off an air of yumminess that is all their own.

Each one of these roomy bags feature a fun applique on the pockets that coincides with its theme: cupcakes, spring flowers and ridiculously cute prams are appliqued on the front. In addition to the roomy interior, bags are equipped with insulated bottle pockets, padded changing mats, key/dummy fob, pen holder and additional pockets. In the picture below you can take a peak at the interior of my favourite “Mama et Bebe” bag.

Now available to us lucky Americans, changing bags such as the Yummy Mummy Bags, Blooming Gorgeous Totes, Norland Totes, Satchels, Mama et Bebe Messengers, Hospital/Weekend Bag and Leather Bags can all be purchased online.

But… that’s not all! Pink Lining recently introduced a brand new application that will get parents in the UK, United States and Canada clapping their hands. The Nappy Station Location Application allows you to search for the nearest diaper change location. Parents such as yourself can add any location (with a review) on their website.

In addition, Pink Lining has launched The Nappy Awards 2011, where you can enter to win an iPad. If you know of a park, mall, business or other location that provides excellent facilities for diaper changing, nominate them here before January 15th.
