Review: Fisher Price Kid-Tough Video Camera
As you know, here at Child Mode, we like to review quality products for kids and their parents! When Violet Affleck was spotted carrying a Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera (another product from their line), I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about them. My daughter is ALWAYS taking my electronics. In fact – both of our girls are electronic obsessed like their mama. The problem with this is… well, kids aren’t very careful with things. Fisher Price, took this into consideration and created a child-proof video camera, that just launched in July 2010.
My daughter is totally in love this camera and has taken quite a bit of footage over the last couple of months! What I love about the Kid-Tough Video Camera, is it’s sturdy rubberized dual-handle grips. Kids will have no trouble hanging on to this, and if they do? No worries, Fisher Price says it is built to survive drop after drop. I can attest that ours has been dropped countless times (on a ceramic floor) and it still works perfectly.
Kids look through a 1.5″ color LCD preview screen while they tape. The built-in memory stores up to 5 minutes right out of the box, but there is also an SD slot for even more storage.
The camera kit includes:
- A TV out jack
- USB Cable for computer connection
- Simple software that transfers the video with one click
- Comes in two great colors – pink and blue. Requires “AA” batteries, not
For Mac users, transferring is very easy as once you connect the camera to your computer, you just transfer the images through the Finder.
Price: $59.99 from Amazon.com (currently on sale for $54.97)
