Bugaboo Donkey: The First Mono-Duo-Mono Convertible Stroller
Today, Bugaboo gave a sneak peek look at their brand new ground-breaking stroller, the Bugaboo Donkey. Set to hit stores in 2011, this incredibly unique stroller is designed to provide extra storage space and the option to convert to a side-by-side due stroller for parents with two or twins.
The increased storage space includes an expandable side shopping basket and underseat basket – allowing parents to carry all their goods on the go. When configured as a “mono, the Bugaboo Donkey is 23 inches wide, the same width as the Bugaboo Cameleon. In the duo configuration, the Bugaboo Donkey is 29 inches wide, making it the narrowest (luxury) side-by-side duo stroller.
Earlier this morning, Bugaboo answered a question that is on everyone’s mind, “Why did Bugaboo choose the name Bugaboo Donkey?”
They answered, “All Bugaboo strollers are named after animals like the Bugaboo Bee and Bugaboo Cameleon. The characteristics of a donkey perfectly reflect Bugaboo’s new stroller as it’s well known for its ability to carry both luggage and people with ease. They are also known for being faithful, intelligent and eager to learn.”
This is definitely not your average double! Because of its capability to convert from a mono to a duo and back again in three clicks, this stroller is suitable for your first child, your second child, or both and for twins! The Bugaboo Donkey will be available during the Spring of 2011 in the USA, UK, Netherlands and Spain. Other countries will receive shipment later in the year.
The Bugaboo Donkey is the latest addition to Bugaboo’s portfolio which further includes the Bugaboo Frog, the Bugaboo Bee, and the Bugaboo Cameleon.
