9 By Design’s Cortney and Robert Novogratz Team Up With Bounty To Give Away $25k Celebrity Designed Art Room Makeover

It was announced today, that Procter & Gamble’s Bounty brand has chosen the eleven finalists of their nationwide contest to transform the art classroom of one lucky school in America.

The contest was open for submissions from July 22 to August 9th. Schools across the United States entered for a chance to win the $25,000 grand prize art classroom makeover designed by Bravo’s “9 By Design” celebrity design team, Cortney and Robert Novogratz (pictured above with their 7 children).

Ten runner-up schools will each receive $5,000 grants for use toward transforming their school art rooms and a visit from the Bounty Make-A-Messterpiece art bus, an experiential art studio on wheels.

“As children are getting ready to go back to school, it is important that we do all we can to encourage them to be creative and inspire hands-on learning,” says Bounty’s brand manager, Dave Lee. “We are thrilled that so many schools entered our contest. Bounty believes that better funded art programs in school enable more hands-on creativity and learning for children.”

During the contest entry process, teachers, students, and parents were encouraged to nominate an elementary or middle school art classroom by submitting a 500-word essay describing why their school is in need of a Bounty “clean” makeover. The eleven finalists were selected based on individual need within heir specific school. Starting on Friday, August 20th at 12:00pm EDT, Bounty opened the contest to a public vote hosted on the Bounty Facebook page. The grand prize winner will be announced on Friday, August 27th.
