The official end of summer looms in the not so distant future with Labor Day weekend just around the corner. This is leaving many families scrambling to get the last vacation in before the cool weather arrives.

AAA polled their professional inspectors to name their favourite places for family getaways, and we wholeheartedly agree. This list is filled with some of our favourite family destinations and resorts!

1. Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station, Indianapolis, Ind., AAA Three Diamond Lodging
