The Ridge Hotel Overlooks Japan Alps’ Hakuba Valley
The Tokyo-based real estate firm EastEdge announced that they would be reopening the iconic Happo Resort, a boutique hotel overlooking Hakuba Valley as the Ridge Hotel. This hidden jewel in the Alps operates in Hakuba, Japan, an area made famous by the Olympic games and had it’s grand opening on August 1st.
This establishment was originally built as the Hana Hotel by Japan Life in 1998 for exclusive guests and many of the historical VIPs include members of the Imperial Family. The luxurious Penthouse in particular overlooks the stunning mountains. This facility has taken on a new international concept and branding, including redesign and interior renovation of the existing structure and is expected to bring more luxury travellers to Hakuba.
Standard rooms offer luxurious Western king split beds within a Japanese tatami room context. Fully enclosed apartment suites of one to four bedrooms, designer furniture and equipped kitchens are available with all the latest amenities including flat screen TVs, WiFi, DVD and iPod docking stations.
For families, The Ridge provides a game room for kids of all ages, equipped with Wii and Xbox, DVD library, books, magazines and a relaxing set of lounge furnishings.
All in all, The Ridge offers unparalleled Western style accommodation, luxury amenities and service and mixes contemporary design with simple, sophisticated comfort and large suite apartments. This is a great spot for the international travelling family!
