I bought this necklace for my daughter 2 years ago as a birthday gift and it’s still going strong! This cute piece of jewelry has freshwater pearls strung on strong, but thin cord and then closes with a sterling silver clasp. It measures 12 inches and would work for a newborn as well as a toddler. Although my daughter doesn’t wear her pearls everyday, they are ideal for special occasions, baptisms, weddings, Christenings or “princess dress-up”. The very fact that we still have this necklace intact and in “as new” condition after 2 years is proof enough on it’s strength.
