Disney Launches Fashion Line ‘D-Signed’ For Target
Tween fashion designers seem to be all the rage! First Selena Gomez, then Madonna’s daughter Lourdes and now actress and singer Demi Lovato has a new clothing line coming out, just in time for the back-to-school season! Tweens and young “fashionistas” will now be able to enjoy fashions and designs inspired by the style of their favorite Disney Channel characters such as Sonny Munroe played by Demi Lovato from Sonny With A Chance.
Disney and Target announced their partnership today. Their new fashion line of apparel and accessories called “D-Signed,” will be available only at Target stores nationwide and on Target.com starting August 1st. This line of unique and trendy pieces can be mixed and matched for tween girls in sizes 4 to 16.
“Tween girls want fashionable clothes that express their individuality and style but that moms approve of,” said Pam Lifford, executive vice president, global fashion and home, DCP. “Our D-Signed collection at Target brings it all together in a way that allows young girls to express their fashion sense with quality clothing at budget friendly prices.”
As opposed to clothing that portray Sonny Monroe’s likeness, D-Signed is inspired by the look and personality of the characters from the hit series—the items you would find in their closet.
You can view pieces from the line in this new YouTube music video from Disney Living featuring Demi Lovato’s song “Me, Myself, and Time”, directed by filmmaker Ross Ching.
Reasonably priced from $4.99 – $19.99, the Sonny Munroe “D-Signed” collection includes: embellished graphic tees, skirts, dresses, pants, knit dresses, shorts, fashion tops and jackets, headbands, necklaces and bags.
As it is a limited edition line, this first collection will be available for three months, and will then be followed by a second collection just in time for the holidays.
Future collections of D-Signed will include fashions based on the style of other popular Disney Channel characters including Alex Russo played by Selena Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place.
What do you think of this new collection? Will you be purchasing pieces from this line for your daughter, this back-to-school season?
