Review: Disney Back To School Backpacks and Lunch Totes

As part of their Fall 2010 lineup, Disney has unveiled an entire line of backpacks and lunch totes inspired by the popular Disney Characters from Disney/Pixar’s Cars and Toy Story, Disney Princesses, Disney Fairies, Night Before Christmas, Hannah Montana and many more.

The backpacks are made very generously, with lots of room for your child’s school supplies, books and a change of clothes. They are absolutely perfect for traveling! The Princess backpack features an extra large heart zip pocket across the front with added storage and there are two mesh pockets on either side.

The back section of the pack as well as the straps are lightly padded for additional comfort, making this easy for kids to carry. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting that great of quality as usually branded merchandise tends to feel and look quite “cheap”. These are definitely not the case! The backpacks we received have embroidery details across the top. For example the princess pack says “Perfect for a Princess” in a pretty cursive font while the Little Mermaid pack has “Ariel” embroidered in a metallic purple thread.

You can also purchase the matching lunch packs. Lined with a wipe-able interior, the lunch bags have a mesh pocket on the inside front flap for storing napkins, utensils or anything you would rather keep away from the food stored inside.

Both the knapsacks and lunch totes have “This Belongs To…” printed inside. If your child loves Disney or is a Princess fan (as mine are), I definitely suggest considering these for your back-to-school needs. They are sure to last straight through elementary school and can easily be passed down do to their superb quality.

The backpacks and lunch totes are reasonably priced at $19.50 and $12.50 respectfully. They are available to purchase through most Disney Store locations or online through DisneyStore.com.
