Sonia Rykiel Signs A Deal To Produce Home Furnishing Collection

French fashion house, Sonia Rykiel, recently signed a licensing deal with furnishings company Lelievre, the company that makes the Kenzo Home Collection. WWD has reported that this new home collection will channel it’s flirty Left Bank style. Fabrics, cushions, carpets and throws featuring floral patterns and its signature multicolored stripes will complement the existing bedroom and bath furnishings produced by licensee Anne de Solène. Humorous and witty touches will be placed on the black velvet cushion with rhinestones spelling out “Blonde,” “Brune” and “Rousse” (“Blonde,” “Brunette” and “Redhead”).

House President Nathalie Rykiel said, “It’s about humor, comfort, and a cool, bohemian vibe.”

Trade supplier Stark Carpet is to distribute the collection in the United States from September.

I wonder if a nursery collection is in the cards for Sonia Rykiel. I would love to see a bedroom line for kids from this fabulous fashion designer!
