Kalahari Resort Invites A Live Mermaid To Launch Swimming/Water Awareness Program

Home to one of America’s largest indoor and outdoor waterparks, Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells has brought in a “live mermaid” during the summer season to remind kids and parents about water safety. With her 35-lb engineered tail and super-human abilities, such as holding her breath underwater for nearly five minutes,Mermaid Linden Wolbert, recently helped Kalahari lifeguards to officially unveil a refresher course in swim safety. Lindsay travels the world encouraging kids to learn how to swim and stopped off at Kalahari during this launch.

Kalahari’s Swimming/Water Awareness Program covers swimming refresher tips, such as:

  • Obey the rules on the in-park signage (parents, be sure to read all attraction signage)
  • Always observe an attraction before trying it to understand how it works
  • Check the depth of the attraction before trying it
  • Always follow the lifeguards’ instructions
