American Girl is doing amazing work with their new Shine On Now campaign and we are so very proud to be an AG official parent partner! My eldest daughter is in LOVE with American Girl, we bought her very first Bitty Twins last year and they have yet to leave her side.
f you aren’t familiar with the Shine On Now campaign click here to read our previous posts. From July 13-July 31st, girls are invited and encouraged to visit www.shineonnow.com, everyday and donate free stars to go towards this effort. I foster animals for our local humane society.
My daughter is so generous. She has offered to give this doll to her best friend because her friend does not already have an American Girl doll!
She likes to bake goodies with me to take to the nursing home where her great-grandparents reside, and even reads stories to some of the residents. A lot of children do not like to be around the elderly, but she seems to have a connection with them. I promise, my child was born middle-aged and keeps getting older by the year! lol
Please consider her for this prize. Thanks!!!
We have donated the maximum 100 stars daily.
We follow @agshineonnow on twitter. thanks.
Tweet tweet! I tweeted your post, because I believe in good karma
and I like my chances with Random.org better when there are plenty of commenters behind me! lol
Unfortunately, time is very limited in my single mom life, however, every month, we visit the local food bank and donate an hour of time separating food and bringing in donations.

My husband and I run a weekly Bible club at our church. Our focus is on kids who has a parent in the military although any child is welcome. So many of the kids really have a hard time when a parent is on deployment. My teenage daughters help us run it. My 10 year old attends the club. Her “job” is to greet and welcome any new kids. It’s a good thing she’s not shy!
I signed up my daughter. I donated 9 stars and I’m sure she’ll donate more.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and we try little ways to teach her how to take care of our Mother Earth. Turning off lights when we leave the room, not wasting water when we brush our teeth together, and the big one, recycling! I hope to raise her to be aware of her surroundings and do what she can to make this world a better place.
My family helps in the community by volunteering time.

Volunteer at a local animal shelter.
For three months now I have been a daily part time volunteer at a non-profit agency.
My mom fostered kittens for the local SPCA.
We adopted Jack (rat terrier mix) from the SPCA, and became aware of their need for foster homes for cats. Jack was a help in acclimating both kittens and adult cats.
Our whole family gives back to the community. We fundraise for local events and donate items to goodwill regularly!

This summer my teenage son did his Eagle Scout project which involved reforesting a local park. Our whole family was involved in that and we’re very proud of him. Thanks.
