My daughter is so generous. She has offered to give this doll to her best friend because her friend does not already have an American Girl doll!
She likes to bake goodies with me to take to the nursing home where her great-grandparents reside, and even reads stories to some of the residents. A lot of children do not like to be around the elderly, but she seems to have a connection with them. I promise, my child was born middle-aged and keeps getting older by the year! lol
Please consider her for this prize. Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, time is very limited in my single mom life, however, every month, we visit the local food bank and donate an hour of time separating food and bringing in donations.

My husband and I run a weekly Bible club at our church. Our focus is on kids who has a parent in the military although any child is welcome. So many of the kids really have a hard time when a parent is on deployment. My teenage daughters help us run it. My 10 year old attends the club. Her “job” is to greet and welcome any new kids. It’s a good thing she’s not shy!

My daughter is 2 1/2 and we try little ways to teach her how to take care of our Mother Earth. Turning off lights when we leave the room, not wasting water when we brush our teeth together, and the big one, recycling! I hope to raise her to be aware of her surroundings and do what she can to make this world a better place.

We adopted Jack (rat terrier mix) from the SPCA, and became aware of their need for foster homes for cats. Jack was a help in acclimating both kittens and adult cats.
