Bulgari Designs A Silver Ring To Support Save The Children

Italian jeweler Bulgari, will be introducing a silver and ceramic ring in October as part of their charity campaign ‘Rewrite the Future’ with Save the Children. So far for 2010 and 2011, Bulgari has pledged 6 million euros, or $7.5 million, to support quality education for children most in need globally. The Rewrite the Future campaign was launched in 2008, when Bulgari celebrated its 125th anniversary. They say that they intend to continue the partnership with Save the Children to support projects such as teacher training and an art education and therapy program.

WWD reports,

The new ring emulates the design of the B.Zero 1 jewelry line, and is the second one-of-a-kind design created to benefit Save the Children, following the introduction of a silver ring in 2009 that paid homage to the silversmith origins of the founder of the company, Sotirio Bulgari. The ring will feature the Save the Children logo engraved on the inside and will be available from fall through 2011 in Bulgari stores worldwide, select department stores and on the brand’s U.S. Web site. The ring will be priced at $370, of which $75 will be donated to Save the Children.

Starting in July and throughout 2011, photographer Fabrizio Ferri will shoot celebrities including Jessica Biel, Jason Lewis, Ben Stiller, Isabella Rossellini, Sting, Willem Dafoe, Terrence Howard, Ronaldinho, Olivia Wilde, Valeria Golino and Debra Messing wearing the ring. Sting, Stiller, Golino and Dafoe previously helped support the cause together with Julianne Moore, Benicio Del Toro and Andy Garcia.
