Regal Lager Announces CYBEX 2.GO Infant Carrier Recall
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Regal Lager Inc., of Kennesaw, Ga., announced a voluntary recall of CYBEX 2.GO Infant Carriers Thursday (June 17) due to the possibility of the shoulder strap slider buckle breaking, posing a fall hazard to babies.
About 2,700 CYBEX 2.GO carriers in the United States and 400 in Canada were involved in the recall. Baby furniture and baby product stores nationwide, and on various websites sold the carriers, from August 2009 through April 2010 for about $100.
CYBEX” is embroidered on the fabric covering on the top of the head support. “2.GO” is printed on an orange tag near the head support. They were sold in the following colors: chili, indigo, purple and slate.
Although no injuries have been reported, the firm has received three reports of broken buckles. They are advising consumers to stop using products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
If you currently have a CYBEX 2.GO, contact Regal Lager to receive a free replacement carrier.
