My daughter has the most gorgeous head of curls! Tight and loose ringlets that are cherub-like frame her little face perfectly after her morning bath, however as the day progresses, they become virtually uncontrollable. Hair elastics are NOT an option because they are just “Too tight!”, hair clips are “ugly” and she doesn’t like comb-in hairbands because they “hurt”.
No Slippy Hair Clippy was founded in 2000 by a mom who was frustrated with the hair clips found in stores – we all know how easily they come out! This innovative company uses an expensive Plush Swiss Velvet wrapped completely around a metal clip to ensure a snug, secure grip, no matter how fine, thin (or how little) hair you have. Three different sizes and types of clips are available for girls of all ages; a Mini, a Standard Pinch, and a French Clip for girls with lots of hair.
I tried all of the clips and they are outstanding! My 3-year-old hasn’t complained about tightness and she gets excited when it’s time to pick out her clip of the day. Her sister, my 17-month-old, has very little hair and it’s still super fine. The No Slippy Hair Clippys didn’t budge in her hair once!
No-slip headbands are also available. I don’t know how they do it but the elastic stays put and doesn’t slip or slide. I love the big flowers and stretch velvet! They are great for dressing up or down depending on the occasion.
An entire lineup of bows, clips and hairbands are available for teens and adults as well, in fact – Jennifer Love Hewitt was featured in People Magazine wearing one of their clips in March!
Violet Affleck, Nahla Aubrey, Olive Cohen and Valentina Paloma are just a few of the celebrity kids who are frequently spotted wearing clips from this company!
