Wiloh Teams Up With K.I.D.S. For Fashionable ‘Tee For Tee’ Initiative
Kids in Distressed Situations Inc., (K.I.D.S.) has teamed up with Wiloh, a new fashion tee shirt line, for the ‘Tee For Tee’ initiative, a program designed to help children in need.
“In addition to helping children in need, the Tee For Tee initiative also helps educate children about eco-awareness and sustainability,” said Wiloh Creative Director Angela Wozniak. “Each tee going out to the children is printed using water based inks on eco-friendly organic cotton and easy to understand information about its manufacture. By educating children at an early age, they can grow into adults that are environmentally informed and will hopefully make sustainable choices for the future.”
Everyone at the K.I.D.S.’ Women in Industry Luncheon will receive the Wiloh “Bamboo Panda” tee, by guest designer Tokyo Candies’ Rubens Cantuni, of Genoa, Italy. His artwork and designs have been featured on limited editions of Pro-Keds® footwear, skateboards, hoodies and other products. Cantuni with his unique style and influence from Japanese pop art, is also the designer behind the ‘Love Balloon Bear’ tee (right) that will be donated to Haitian children.
Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) kicks off its 25th Anniversary year with the 4th Annual Women In Industry Luncheon honoring three women of achievement for their support of children in need. Acclaimed broadcast journalist Roz Abrams will emcee the event and Silda Wall Spitzer, Founding Chair of Children for Children, will provide a keynote speech on the important values that volunteerism can instill in children.
