Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom Open Their Closets For Charity

In a fundraiser to help under-priveleged children, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are opening up their closets to the public. Style conscious fans can take home glamorous outfits through an eBay charity auction benefiting Cathy’s Kids Foundation running through May 23rd.

Cathy’s Kids Foundation was developed by Los Angeles Laker star Lamar Odom in 2004, as means to streamline all of his charitable efforts and focus on making a positive impact on the lives of under-priveleged children, as well as targeting a disease that ended his mother’s life, cancer.

“Giving youth the opportunity to follow their dreams is the mission of Cathy’s Kids Foundation. My mother and grandmother always helped everyone in the neighborhood with open arms and I promised to give back one day; Cathy’s Kids is our way of doing so,” said Lamar.

For the last 3 years Lamar has teamed up with DKMS of Americas a foundation dedicated to finding bone-marrow matches and has the largest bank with more than 1 million matches found. Lamar has also teamed up to make wishes come true for children at the City of Hope of Los Angeles as well as The Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City.

The things that Lamar has identified as most important to helping young people today would be to make sure they have access to some or all of the following:

  • educational tools such as books and computers
  • mentoring and tutoring services (life skills, guidance, academics
  • recreational opportunities (sports equipment, team and individual sports)
