Remember those cute outfits from our grandmother’s era? The sweet, classic childrenswear seen in the pages of children’s storybooks and films with the pintucking details, gorgeous patterns and classic cuts? Well those beautiful pieces – which are nearly impossible to find today – are now available thanks to Olive’s Friend Pop.
Founded by two mums with corporate backgrounds, Olive’s Friend Pop launched in August 2009 and became an immediate success. Their sweet, nostalgic designs are original, beautiful and innocent, made with high quality materials (mostly Australian).
The attention to detail is obvious in the clothing and although they are classier pieces, the clothing is meant for play! Dressed in the Bertie Wool Overalls, my daughter had room to move, play and run and at the same time looked spiffy enough to attend church.
Olive’s Friend Pop’s Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection features floral fabrics, herringbone details, wool, rich velvet, cotton baby pin wale corduroy and crisp cottons all in shades of robins egg blue, soft green, cream, browns, beiges and peacock blue.
One of our favourite shops Kawaii For Kids carries this fabulous line and ships worldwide! For a list of additional retailers both online or within Australia, please visit Olive’s Friend Pop’s list of shops. Also, take a minute to visit their website – like their clothing, it’s simply adorable!
